Ela holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Colorado and an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Mendocino College.
A fervent outdoor enthusiast, Ela finds backcountry skiing, backpacking, rafting, mountain biking, and camping vital for fostering creativity and spirit. The love for live music and art complements Ela's appreciation for the cultural richness of the valley's art spaces and performance venues. Committed to community engagement, Ela serves as Board Treasurer at KDNK Community Radio and volunteers with Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers, embodying a deep connection to the local community.
Why did you choose The roaring fork Valley?
“I grew up in Boulder and lived in San Francisco after I graduated CU. I loved living in coastal California, but was always driven to come back to the mountains, whether that was flying home to see my family in the Rockies or going on road trips to the Sierras. Eventually, I realized that I am happiest living in the mountains among the wilderness. Being originally from Poland, I am especially fond of snowy winters, which are always reliable in the Elk Mountains. Even dry years produce an abundance of snow at high elevations. Sharing this special connection with the Roaring Fork community is what keeps me here for the long run!”

“The Aspen Idea is exactly why I live here. It is inspiring to have the space to balance hard work with restorative experiences. Being able to mountain bike up Prince Creek or skin up Tiehack adds a lot of value to the day, and it allows me to reflect and recharge, bringing about new energy to take on any challenge. ”
