Effective January 1, 2012 the Colorado Secretary of State will no longer mail postcards reminding Colorado businesses of their annual filing requirement.

In place of postcard notifications the Secretary of State recommends taxpayers take advantage of its e-mail notification service. You can subscribe to the service by visiting the Secretary of State's website.

Because the annual filing requirement is easily overlooked, we recommend you enroll for this service. Keeping your corporation or LLC in good standing is very important for tax and legal reasons.
