My Road To Reese Henry...
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Peter Van Domelen became an Aspen "local" when his family moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1973. A graduate of Aspen High School, Peter attended the University of Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Peter began his career at Reese Henry & Company in 1981 and became a partner in 1988. Peter is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Outside The Office...
Peter loves nature and its preservation, as well as the recreational pursuits - skiing, hiking, fly-fishing and biking - that the Rocky Mountains offer. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, including wife, Robin, and three sons, Peter, Colter and Travis. Peter is grateful to be living in a world-class business, recreational and cultural environment - in a small town surrounded by natural beauty.
My Community Focus...
Peter's primary focus is giving back to the community, one comprised of socially, culturally and recreationally active people. He is a founding member of both the Aspen Education Foundation and the Aspen School District Financial Advisory Board (and a current member). Peter is also one of the founding members, and a current Board member of the Wilderness Workshop, an organization dedicated to preserving wilderness in the White River National Forest.
What I Bring To Reese Henry...
After being at Reese Henry & Company for nearly 30 years, Peter has learned that the greatest service he and his associates can provide to clients is genuinely caring about their financial well being. From tax planning and preparation, investment analysis and estate planning, to business consulting, retirement planning and complex transactional analysis, the success of the practice is based on its team members' dedication to solving clients' financial matters as if they were their own.
