My Road To Reese Henry...

A Colorado native, Denise Jurgens has spent her entire life living and working throughout Colorado. Born and raised in Denver, Denise and her family moved to Estes Park where her family still resides today. She graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Prior to joining Reese Henry in 1984, Denise worked with Wall Smith & Bateman, a public accounting firm in Alamosa. She became partner in 1993 after nine years with Reese Henry.

Outside The Office...

Denise and her husband enjoy all that Aspen has to offer from hiking and skiing to the abundant cultural activities and year-round beauty. They also appreciate the small-town feel that Aspen provides, but with large city opportunities.

My Community Focus...

Denise has been greatly involved in the community by working with numerous nonprofit organizations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. She currently sits on the board of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Hospice of the Valley and Wheeler Associates. Denise supports many other groups with her time and volunteerism. Reese Henry & Company encourages becoming a part of the community and Denise believes in giving back.

What I Bring To Reese Henry...

Denise has over 27 years of accounting experience. This extensive experience allows her to counsel clients on present and future tax requirements, current and prospective changes in tax laws and varying Internal Revenue Service positions on controversial tax issues.  Denise has concentrated her practice in the areas of audit and accounting, nonprofit organizations and common interest owner associations.
