Denise Jurgens, CPA,

Denise began her career with Reese Henry & Company in 1984 and became a partner in 1993. Her extensive background in auditing and accounting services allows her to effectively counsel clients on numerous management and financial issues, including internal control procedures and organization governance. She has a keen insight into current income tax laws, as well as prospective changes in tax laws. Her knowledge of IRS rules for not-for-profit organizations and owners’ associations is vast, and allows her to effectively guide clients as they design their operational models, as well as their positions on controversial tax issues. Denise is the Director of the firm’s Accounting and Auditing Services group.

A Colorado native, Denise has spent her life living and working throughout the state. Prior to joining Reese Henry & Company, Denise gained valuable experience in the accounting and auditing field working for a CPA firm in Alamosa, Colorado.

Denise graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Outside of the office, Denise and her husband enjoy all that Roaring Fork Valley has to offer, from hiking and skiing to an abundance of cultural activities. Denise stays actively involved in the community, working with numerous non-profit organizations. She sits on the board of directors for the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Spellbinders and Wheeler Associates.
